What: Application for a combined license (COL) for an AREVA U.S. EPR™ reactor, the
proposed Callaway Unit 2
When: July 28, 2008 - AmerenUE submitted their COL application to the NRC for their proposed U.S. EPR for their Callaway Unit 2 plant. On June 23, 2009, AmerenUE requested the NRC to suspend all review activities relating to the Callaway Unit 2 COLA. The application will remain docketed and AmerenUE will submit annual updates to the NRC.
Where: Near Fulton, MO (adjacent to the current Callaway nuclear power station)
UniStar assisted in preparing the COL application. This agreement initiates a multi-year process for the possible future investment decisions required to meet anticipated future energy challenges through new nuclear.
