SMRs are interesting to watch in the media!

Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) seem to be all the rage these days with lots of articles and advertisements, conferences and tradeshows popping up; NRC meetings, twitters and tweets and YouTube videos to boot! What I am curious about is:

1. Whether and when the NRC policy level regulatory conditions will change to actually be able to license one of these designs?
2. What the economics will be like for an actual operation?
3. When we might actually see one operate?
